Donna-Marie Townsend
County: Lincolnshire
Area: Lincoln
Details:
I have information on a few rides that I would like to try at some point.
Lincolnshire on Horeseback (BHS publication, in conjunction with LCC) offers trails from 6 miles to 21 miles, these are mostly circular.
Humberside on Horseback is similar apart from the fact it is located in North Lincolnshire and into Yorkshire.
The Heritage Ride - Julias Way is also shown in a BHS publication, this is a 250 mile trail passing through Lincolnshire and East and North Yorkshire, one to work to one day for sure!
Another one I would like to aim for is the Newtondale Trail in the North Yorkshire Moors. Again I have info on this too!
I am lucky enough for my field to be on the edge of a bridleway that takes you on a 2 - 3 hour amble, with links to further bridle paths which could lead to a whole days riding. If anyone would like to come and ride on the flat, theres plenty here! I am also in driving distance of many good rides on the Wolds etc. I have transport for my horse, and could offer the use of my caravan in my field and a paddock (electric fence) for a couple of horses for the night if you wanted to stay!
If you are looking for someone to ride these rides I mentioned then im interested, or just fancy a new bit of scenery, albeit flat....then give me a buzz!

I know the bridleways quite well around the Ridgeway broadly between Streatley and the Uffington White Horse and may be able to accompany visiting riders if I am free from work.
I am looking for like minded people who enjoy trail riding and who do not live too far from South Oxfordshire. I brought my former guiding horse from the riding centre so I am well equipped with an experienced horse and much of the gear associated with long distance riding, as well as the experience gained in riding some 20,000 miles and leading groups around much of this distance. Earlier I completed a two month long ride and wrote a book about the experience, which gained me membership of the Long Riders Guild and Fellowship of the Royal Geographical Society.
