2 day Social Pleasure ride 2010

This sounds a great idea. I would have loved to come - but im booked on another social week riding in Norfolk. I will keep my eye out for the next one though!!

What a shame KT! We have 9 riders booked so far including myself plus one OH (mine!) who's the luggage transport with the horse trailer. The field we will be using is huge and flat by a river. It is a little way from the village so we will be doing a shuttle service with our Landy to and from the field.

Grazing is fantastic - three huge fields with access right through. We used it a couple of weekends ago. The river runs alongside so if you are energetic you could fetch water from it, but I will be bringing my own! The fencing is good except alongside the tree lined river where in places it has collapsed. The fields are so big that we grazes two horses there with no problem.

Will it ok to corral in there? Or are most people just bunging their horses in? Don't want Tia to boot anyone, thats all! Not that she is a booter, but I have visions of nasty things happening!

Your choice about corralling! The fields are so big they can get away from each other.

If you have electric fencing bring it just in case, Donna Marie. We'll put it with your luggage and bring it over in the trailer. I've never had to use it but it's a good idea to have it with you. You just don't know! I rode with Glyn and his party last year, me on Sharnina and him on Tecwyn (a gelding) they took a dislike to each other (rare for Sharnina) and when released in the field sorted their differences out back to back with hoof punches.
